As part of the EC2U Alliance and in partnership with the research programme CPER NUMERIC, the University of Poitiers is organising a conference on Digital Education, on November 24th at 14h CET.

The conference aims at answering the following questions:  What impact can digital technology have on education? What digital tools can reinvent the classroom as we know it today? How can new tools be used to create a more inclusive classroom?

These questions are being explored across Europe where researchers, teachers and engineers are developing and evaluating new tools to enhance learning and optimise the use of digital technology in education.

 

Programme (14h-16h30 CET):

Introductory speeches
  • Christine Fernandez-Maloigne (Vice-president in charge of International Relations, and coordinator of the CPER Numeric programme at the University of Poitiers)
  • Ludovic Thilly (Deputy Vice President of the EC2U Alliance and European networks, and coordinator of the Alliance)
Presentations 
  • Francesc Pedro (Director of the Unesco International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean),
  • Marjut Johansson (Dean of the Faculty of Language and Translation at the University of Turku)
  • François Lecellier (Co-leader of the Working Group on Education and Innovation of the Coimbra Group, Professor at the University of Poitiers)

Further information

Before the conference, the French choreographer Bénédicte Péridy will lead a flashmob to engage simultaneously the communities through a playful and cross-border event. If you would like to participate in this activity, register via this form. No special knowledge of dance is required!

What will be the final result? On Thursday 24 November, the Flashmob will be presented to the conference participants and will be filmed at each university in order to produce a final cross-media montage.
