Between February 13 and 15, the Local Coordinators from the eight partner universities convened at the Johannes Kepler University (JKU) in Linz for a series of crucial meetings and collaborative discussions.

Strengthening collaborative efforts for a promising future

The agenda for the week revolved around pivotal topics such as determining future event locations, budget planning, and outlining the overall work plan for the alliance. These discussions underscored EC2U’s unwavering commitment to excellence and its dedication to making a meaningful impact. The role of the local coordinators as the linchpin between their respective universities and the EC2U Alliance was emphasized, ensuring smooth progress in activities and facilitating communication with the global coordination team.

Exploring Linz and the JKU Campus

During their visit, the guests had the opportunity to explore the main JKU campus, the JKU MED campus, and the dynamic city of Linz. Engaging conversations took place with JKU Rector Stefan Koch, Vice-Rector Elgin Drda, and Vice-Rector Alberta Bonnani. The guests also met with representatives from JKU Work Packages, gaining insights into ongoing initiatives and establishing valuable new partnerships.

Ludovic Thilly, the general coordinator of the Alliance, expressed his satisfaction, stating, “Members of the global coordination team and the local coordinators were thrilled to convene in Linz for the first time since JKU joined the EC2U Alliance. These meetings are essential for effectively managing and monitoring EC2U Alliance activities. Serving as the main contact for students and employees at the eight partner universities, the local coordinators play a pivotal role in realizing EC2U’s work plan. This gathering not only marked the initiation of joint management for EC2U activities but also provided an opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about JKU and the city of Linz.”
