The first EC2U Science Battle, organized by the EC2U Alliance, will take place on September 24th on the European Researchers’ Night.

What is a Science Battle ?

A Science Battle is a game like event which aims to promote sciences and research, while showing the public how researchers concretely tackle a new research question. The concept was initiated by the University of Turku in 2016 and is now expanded as a battle between the members of the European Campuses of City Universities.

How is it working ?

This year for the 1st round, 3 teams of 6 researchers from the universities of Poitiers (France), Turku (Finland) and Pavia (Italy) will compete simultaneously for 3 hours, online, on scientific, cultural and societal questions. Teams will be staying in a delimited space to answer the questions submitted by the audience, and will be awarded points by a jury.

Follow the event on Zoom

If you have the chance to live in one of the cities that are competing, you will be able to follow the event and to cheer your team in live in the premises of the university.
