A growing community of students and staff
More than 1500 students and staff answered the global survey “EC2U Consults its Community”, of which close to 50% of respondents had heard of the EC2U Alliance and were well-aware of the EC2U mission and related activities.
When asked what motivated them to participate in EC2U activities, mobility opportunities, multi-cultural experiences, and networking were put forth as the main reasons.
The survey also put forth the EC2U Alliance as an appealing initiative that students and staff were interested in joining.
EC2U’s transformational imput
The survey “EC2U Consults its Community” confirmed the positive impact the EC2U Alliance has on the actively involved students and staff. Respondents confirm, after having participated in an EC2U event, that they are more likely to participate in more opportunities abroad, connect with European networks, and promote European values.
For example, an academic staff member states that the EC2U Alliance allows him to “multiply existing connections, expand networking opportunities, and learn new ways of working”.
EC2U’s continual cycle of improvement
EC2U values the feedback from its community and places a focus on adapting its activities accordingly. Respondents put forth the importance of ensuring EC2U activities were inclusive. In particular, more short-term mobilities were put forth as a key opportunity to develop along with increased collaboration opportunities that could further foster community participation.
The survey, from a global viewpoint, confirmed the relevance of the EC2U Alliance.
“EC2U […] has the capacity to develop and become a model and a universal reference.” .
