The Masterclasses on Open Science are part of the RI4C2 project aiming to mainstream Open Science practices. These masterclasses are a collection of Open Educational Resources featuring five instructional videos and two podcasts with internationally renowned Open Science experts sharing their insights and best practices on how to approach some Open Science practices.

The masterclasses focus specifically on the relevance of Open Science for rigorous, reproducible and transparent research and on the practical advice from researcher to researcher on how to get started and apply some Open Science practices like pre-registration, reproducible workflows and science outreach.

The Masterclasses consist of the following videos on Open Science:

  • Pre-registration: What does it actually bring us?
  • Baby steps for reproducible workflow in R – part 1: introduction
  • Baby steps for reproducible workflow in R – part 2: demo

In addition to the videos, the Masterclasses are complemented by two podcast episodes:

How to make science more tangible for a broader audience?

All videos are accessible online on the official EC2U YouTube channel and they can also be found on the EC2U Alliance website. The podcasts are available on Soundcloud and are part of a podcast series from the University of Turku. The videos and podcasts are openly accessible and suitable for anyone interested in the wide range of Open Science topics covered in the materials.
