The EC2U Virtual Institute for Quality Education (VIQE) combines education, research and innovation in missions based on one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals called “Quality Education”. The VIQE gathers interdisciplinary teams of students, teachers, researchers and innovators from the 7 universities of the EC2U Alliance (the University of Coimbra, the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, the University of Pavia, the University of Poitiers, the University of Salamanca and the University of Turku) and particularly focuses on language, cultural and societal diversity in Europe.

For its 2nd edition, the VIQE organises a session of PhD training activities on the topic of “Machine learning techniques and text processing tools applied to the study of linguistic diversity and cultural perception”. It will be hosted by the University of Pavia, in collaboration with the University of Poitiers & the University of Turku, from the 6th to the 8th of June 2023.
