Körperbild, Mehrsprachigkeit und Sprachenporträt: Zur körperlichen Dimension des kommunikativen Repertoires
Abstract:
In this talk, Brigitta Busch explores what enables or hinders a person from drawing on their linguistic and communicative resources in a given interaction. Emotional and embodied dimensions strongly influence language experience. To better understand how embodied language experience shapes the repertoire used in interaction, the talk considers the interplay of communication and corporeality through the concept of the Körperbild — an imaginary, often unconscious representation of the embodied self.
