The University of Salamanca was founded in 1218 and is one of the three oldest universities in Europe, boasting a wide range of Faculties and Research Institutes in Sciences and Arts. In 2011, it was awarded the Campus of International Excellence status. It is the university of reference in its region and beyond (Castile and León) and the “Alma Mater” of nearly all historical Latin American universities.
This participatory initiative, built around nine strategic priorities aligned with the values of Fidelitas, aims to inspire its community through high-quality education, foster creativity and ethical thinking, and drive social transformation through research and innovation.
Under the leadership of Rector Juan Manuel Corchado Rodríguez, the university is reinforcing its role as a global centre of knowledge and scientific advancement. With a forward-looking approach, USAL30 strengthens the connection between heritage and innovation, encouraging active engagement from students, faculty, and partners to co-create a more inclusive, impactful and future-ready institution.
