Claudio Cusano is Full Professor of Computer Engineering at the University of Pavia, where he has been a teacher and researcher since 2013. He received his degree in Computer Science (2002) and Ph.D. (2026) from the University of Milano-Bicocca. Since 2025, he has been the Rector's Delegate for information systems; since 2021, he has been the President of the Teaching Council of the Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence; and since 2021, he has been the Director of the Pavia node of the National Laboratory on Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems. 

He is the WP3 leader in the EC2U alliance project. Claudio Cusano authored one patent and more than 90 peer-reviewed publications. He routinely collaborates as editor and reviewer for several journals in his field of research and as a TPC member for international conferences. He also contributed to many research projects funded by private and public institutions. His areas of interest are automatic image analysis, recognition, and synthesis, including scene classification, texture analysis, color processing, image generation, face recognition, and 3D imaging.
