The main objective of GLADE is to develop cooperation contexts for promoting health and well-being in the EC2U universities and their cities.

The Virtual Institute GLADE is the headquarters for:

• The EC2U Glade Education HUB, which includes short trainings for students, staff and citizens, Summer Schools, and itinerant conferences
• The EC2U GLADE Transformative Research HUB that initiates and supports: innovative Transfer events on knowledge & good practices, the GLADE PhD Network, as well as studies, guidelines for local authorities and policy papers
• The EC2U GLADE Healthy Campus and Cities, which focuses on a brand new approach to Health in the Campuses and their cities using thematic surveys, studies and new structures, as well as services to the society as a whole
• The Joint Master Programme LIFELINE – Lifelong Well-being and Healthy Ageing
