Each year, local sessions are organized by partner universities around a shared theme. These events—ranging from workshops to debates to co-design activities—enable stakeholders to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore potential solutions together. What emerges locally contributes to a broader, cross-European conversation.
They bring together students, academic staff, university and city administrators, associations, businesses, and citizens across the seven EC2U partner cities. The goal: to connect perspectives, foster collaboration, and spark transformative ideas for the future.

The Think Tanks follow a collaborative model, moving from local engagement to European-level action
Each EC2U university hosts discussions within its local community, bringing together diverse voices to reflect and co-create around a common topic.
Insights from these local sessions are shared and debated at the annual EC2U Forum, where they are transformed into policy recommendations and action plans for the Alliance.
