From the 25th to the 27th of April, the The Vice-Rector for Research of the University of Salamanca (USAL), José Miguel Mateos Roco, received a dozen professors from the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi in the framework of the first edition of the "EC2U Spanish Romanian Research Week". During his speech, he highlighted the transformative role played by European alliances in the internationalisation strategy of universities and their impact on the daily life of the university community.

The vice-rector for Research of the USAL received a dozen professors from the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi (Romania) in the framework of the first edition of the “EC2U Spanish Romanian Research Week” organised by the EC2U Alliance. A week of meetings between researchers from both universities that allowed the development of new lines of research in the field of social sciences and humanities.

In his welcome speech, the Vice-Rector for Research highlighted the important transformational role that European alliances are currently playing in the internationalisation of universities and how the construction of a European university campus between the 7 universities that make up the EC2U Alliance is already having a major impact on the life of the entire university community: professors, students and researchers.

This first edition of the “EC2U Spanish Romanian Research Week” was part of the calendar of activities developed throughout the year by the Virtual Institute for Quality Education (VIQE).
