The session focused on the future of R&I activities within the EC2U Alliance, providing insights on what could come next once the RI4C2 project ends.
The first part of the session focused on potential new funding opportunities, with the interventions of Ludovic Thilly, Coordinator General of the EC2U Alliance, Joerg Niehoff from the DG Research & Innovation at the European Commission and Bart Veys from the COST Association.
The session then took a look at different ways to deepen connections between researchers of the EC2U Alliance via the EC2U Digital Environment (presented by Daniela Ovadia, University of Pavia) and fostering joint research projects at the institutional level (presented by Tilman Turpin, University of Poitiers).
Finally, the last presentations focused on the connections between RI4C2 activities and upcoming EC2U activities. This included a presentation by Fernando Almaraz (University of Salamanca) of the Inter-alliance Living Labs conference, a presentation of Open Science policies by Alboaie Leunta (University of Iasi) and Laura Niemi (University of Turku), and a focus on the upcoming launch of the EC2U Pan-European Knowledge Ecosystem (PEKE) event in Poitiers by Pauline Bordiec (University of Poitiers).
