On the 30th of March, the conference on “Italian And French Universities In The European Universities Initiative” took place at the University of Turin. The EC2U Alliance was represented by staff members of the University of Pavia: Deputy Chancellor for Internationalisation - Prof. Antonella Forlino, and International Projects coordinator - Alberto Forte.

The conference focused on the Franco-Italian University/Italo-French University (UFI/UIF) long-lasting scientific collaboration and its role within the Erasmus+ «European Universities», an initiative aimed at creating transnational alliances of European Higher Education Institutions and developing long-term structural and strategic cooperation.

The event included two plenary sessions and four thematic workshops on Didactics, Mobility, R&I, and the Students’ engagement.

During the conference, Prof. Antonella Forlino participated in Workshop 3 – R&I showing the results achieved by EC2U within the fields of research and innovation, in particular the development of the three Virtual Institutes Good Health and Well Being, Quality Education, and Sustainable Cities and Communities, but also the organisation of successful events such as the Entrepreneurial Week and the Think Tanks, as well as the participation in the Horizon 2020 project Research and Innovation for Cities and Communities- RI4C2.

The initiative brought Italian, French, and European universities together to raise awareness about existing projects, alliances, initiatives in terms of mobility, research projects, projects aimed at territories, innovative teaching, and forms of internationalisation of teaching.
