From October 19th to 22nd, 2026, EC2U students will gather in Linz, Austria, for the 6th EC2U Entrepreneurial Week, an inspiring experience focused on innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurial thinking in an international setting.
Students from all disciplines are invited to come together in Linz to collaborate in international and multidisciplinary teams, exploring how innovation can contribute to more inclusive, sustainable, and socially responsible societies.
Throughout the week, you will work on real-life societal challenges provided by external partners, guided by experienced facilitators and supported by experts from academia and practice. Through interactive workshops, field research, and creative methods such as design thinking, you will develop ideas, test solutions, and transform them into meaningful concepts.
Entrepreneurs, practitioners, and researchers will share their insights and experiences, offering valuable perspectives on how innovation can create positive impact. Along the way, you will reflect on your learning journey, strengthen your teamwork and communication skills, and gain hands-on experience in shaping ideas into actionable solutions.
Beyond the programme, you will also have the opportunity to connect with fellow participants from across Europe and experience the vibrant city of Linz.
We aim to create a truly international and interdisciplinary environment:
The event will be held in English, so a good command of the language is required.
Applications will be handled through a centralised EC2U platform, combined with local procedures at each university. Please note that if you are applying from JKU Linz, you will also need to apply via the local platform.
4 May - 3 July 2026: Application period. Apply by filling out the application form.
In your application, you will be asked to provide basic personal information, followed by a motivation section where you reflect on different topics (e.g. personal resources, global challenges, etc.). You should prepare a 200-word motivation text before starting the application.
11 - 18 September 2026: Nomination
Selected candidates will be nominated across EC2U. If selected, you will be notified by your local university team. Nomination lists will continue to be updated until all available places are confirmed.
Only after this step can the formal procedures for the travel grant be initiated. The EC2U team at your home university will guide you through the next steps. Please do not make any travel arrangements before your participation has been officially confirmed.
19 - 22 October 2026: Entrepreneurial Week
Participation is mandatory and attendance will be monitored.
22 October 2026: Departure
You will return home with new ideas, new connections, and valuable experiences. Minor administrative steps may be required after the event (e.g. confirmation of attendance, certificates, etc.).
