Inspiring.
The EC2U Student Declaration was collegially written by the EC2U Student Representatives and the ESN Members of the EC2U Partner Universities. In-line with the Alliance’s mission to enhance student engagement within its governance, this Student Declaration confirms the EC2U Students commitment to “fully support the creation of the EC2U Student Council as an additional EC2U Governing Body”. This governing body will be launched during the second phase of the EC2U Alliance, from November 2023 onwards.
Value-based.
The EC2U Student Council is inherently created around shared European values. This governing body will further develop an inclusive platform and foster student participation. Focused on five key areas: Communication, Knowledge Transfer, United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Services for Students, and Integration, the EC2U Student Council will clearly contribute to the Alliance’s missions.
Stronger together.
The University of Salamanca was instrumental in providing the time and tools for students to establish the guidelines for the EC2U Student Council. Therefore, as speaker during the Fifth European Education Summit on the 1st of December 2022, the honourable Rector Ricardo Rivero Ortega will take this opportunity to highlight the joint efforts of the EC2U Students in laying the foundations for the future of the Alliance.
The Rector of the University of Salamanca, Ricardo Rivero Ortega, will intervene in the high-level panel between 1:15 to 2:30pm on the topic “Closer Together through innovation: Implementing the European strategy for universities in synergy with the new European Innovation Agenda”.
