The EC2U Alliance is organising its first Students Week: between the 2nd-4th of May, the University of Coimbra, in Portugal, will welcome more than 100 students from EC2U partner universities.

Under the theme “Sharing Visions Together”, students will have the opportunity to take part in a lot of activities, sharing visions through culture, sports, debates, traditions, talks, and more.

How to get to Portugal

International Airports nearer to Coimbra are located:

in Lisbon (190 km away);

 in Porto (120 km away).

How to get to Coimbra

Intercity trains and express buses to Coimbra run every hour and it takes about 2 hours from Lisbon and 1h30m from Porto.

 

By train – Comboios de Portugal (CP):

  • If you are travelling from Lisbon, you will need to take the Metro (you must travel on the red line – final destination São Sebastião – and take off at Oriente stop, 3rd stop after airport; please check the line diagram here) or to catch a taxi from airport to Lisboa Oriente railway station;
  • If you are travelling from Porto, you will need to take the Metro or to catch a taxi to Porto Campanhã railway station.

By express bus – Rede Nacional de Expressos / Express Buses Network :

  • If you are travelling from Lisbon, you will need to get to Lisboa Oriente Bus Station “Terminal Rodoviário” by taxi or subway (Metro). Express buses to Coimbra run almost every hour and you should expect the journey to take approximately 2 hours and a half;
  • If you are travelling from Porto, you will need to travel by taxi or metro until the Campo 24 de Agosto. From there, walk to the Bus Station “Terminal Rodoviário”, Street: “Campo 24 de Agosto, 125”. Express buses to Coimbra run every hour and you should expect the journey to take approximately one hour and a half.
