GLADE is the EC2U Alliance’s Virtual Institute aimed to develop specific approaches to education, research, innovation and service transfer to the community in areas of the third UNSDG: Good Health and Well-being for All.

The main objective of the GLADE Virtual Institute is to develop cooperation’s contexts for promoting health and well-being in the 7 EC2U universities and their cities.
The online GLADE counselling lab for students of all ages will be framed around existing counselling services for students at the EC2U partners, with two components:
– Trainings of staff (existing specialists in actual Counselling services) for a continuously improving approach to Good Health and Well Being
– Training of students in order to offer peer counselling. The services will be addressed mainly to students during their international mobility in the EC2U universities.
The online GLADE Counselling lab for students of all ages brings together all support services additionally developed by the International relations offices for students during their mobility – incoming and outgoing – and existing counselling services for students in the EC2U partners’ universities, with the very new Peer Counselling support.
The online GLADE Counselling lab for students of all ages will be addressed mainly to students during their international mobility in the EC2U universities for a continuously improving approach of their Good Health and Well Being.
A series of Summer Schools is organised within the universities of the Alliance, on topics linked to the GLADE Virtual Institute.
The first Summer School, entitled Smart Ageing and Healthy Life, took place between 20-26 September 2021 and was hosted by the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania, the 2022 edition was organised by the University of Pavia on Transgenerational medicine and gender life cycle approaches, and the 2023 edition has been organised by the University of Jena.
Students that are part of the Alliance can take a chance to build a project and ask for a mobility grant to realise it with their European peers.

Projects proposals can be continuously submitted to your local GLADE representative until the 30st of April 2023.
By means of the GLADE Virtual Institute, students will have the opportunity to collaborate with the EC2U academic community in elaborating research articles and projects on the subject of Good Health and Well Being. Also, within the GLADE Virtual Institute students can benefit from internships and joint doctoral programmes developed with any of the 7 EC2U Universities.
Through the EC2U GLADE Literacy LAB activities, we will develop the contexts and curricula of training for prevention in health and promotion of well-being for all in the universities and in the cities.

The GLADE Half-Day conferences are meant to strengthen the academic and professional links between researchers, teachers, and students from the 7 EC2U Universities on their closest topics.
This is an opportunity to reveal research interests, results, concerns, and proposals in the areas of Well-being on Campus and in the Cities, a Healthy Life and Ageing, Promotion of Health, studying the impact of Social determinants of Health in the cities, the role of gender in relation to these.
You’ll get the chance to connect with professionals in your field of interest, exchange research ideas and get involved in new projects. Also, don’t forget that you can apply for mobilities to prepare and participate at the GLADE conferences.
Check out the list of conferences and choose the ones that best suit your interest. Participation is free of charge and short presentations (7-10 minutes) are strongly encouraged. A room for networking will be open on the second part of each conference.
The GLADE Short trainings in areas of Health and Well-being are part of the GLADE Literacy LAB, one of the three components of the GLADE Virtual Institute for Good Health and Well-being.
The trainings are short videos created by the members of the GLADE Virtual Institute on subjects related to Good Health and Well-being, in a way that the information is easy to be understood by the non-academic public.
