Horizon 2020 -projekti: RI4C2

EC2U:n esittämä Tutkimusta
ja innovaatioita kaupungeille ja kansalaisille – RI4C2
-projekti on saanut 2 miljoonaa euron
rahoituksen eurooppalaisten yliopistojen
Horizon 2020 Science with & for Society – SwafS (Horisontti 2020 “Tiede yhteiskunnan kanssa ja yhteiskuntaa varten”) -haussa. RI4C2-projekti kiinnittyy
useaan tärkeään viimeaikaiseen aloitteeseen,

joita Euroopan komissio on tukenut tai

kehittänyt tiedon nelikulmion alueella,

johon lasketaan koulutus, tutkimus,
innovaatiot sekä palvelukset yhteiskunnalle.
Nämä osa-alueet ovat myös osallistuvien
yliopistojen jakamia ydintehtäviä. Tämän
projektin seitsemällä partnerilla on yhteinen
tavoite luoda Pan-European Knowledge Ecosystem, PEKE (paneurooppalainen tietoekosysteemi).
Projekti kehittää prosessin, johon kuuluu
osallistuvien yliopistojen tutkimus- ja
innovaatiotoiminnan (R&I) kaikkien puolien
asteittainen ja mukautuva muutos. Globaalilla
tasolla RI4C2-projektin toiminnot sekä tulokset
tukevat EC2U-allianssin lujittamisvaihetta.
Projekti perustuu kahdeksaan työpakettiin,
jotka toimivat ”minimoottoreina”, tuottaen
tulevaisuuden PEKE:n kaikki osatekijät ja
vahvistaen osallistuvien yliopistojen johtamia
paikallisia tietoekosysteemejä.
